Cold Temp drive train noise

I have a 1987 isuzu trooper 5 speed 216000 on engine 119000 on transmission and rearend. When the temperature is in the 30's and I start the car for the first time of the day I get a drive train noise. It increase and decreases with speed and is not effected by pushing in he clutch. Its a grooow with a clunk clunk clunk when you slow down. Any ideas!! Thanks for any help Scott
