mopar bov conversion kitFrankie Newport 04-18-2005, 11:02 PM im saving to buy an srt4 and the first thing im gonna do to it is put a bov on it. i saw the mopar bov conversion kit for like 65 bucks. should i buy this or should i put out the extra money for an hks unit? ive heard a few of the hks sequential bovs and they sound awesome. does the conversion kit sound anywhere near as good? TEXSRT4 04-18-2005, 11:14 PM yes it does, but on the srt there are several steps involved in putting on the hks unit. the mopar piece goes right onto the factory turbo. the hks one requires you to block off the factory piece, install a new intercooler pipe, install the hks, re-route vacum lines, then tune the bov! you get good sound but lots more money and work Frankie Newport 04-19-2005, 09:48 AM yea thats what i was thinkin. how do u block off the stock unit? and another question thats a little off topic, does anyone know what causes that awesome popping in the exhaust when u let off the gas? i was just wondering. ive heard other cars do it too but never like an srt4. TEXSRT4 04-19-2005, 11:31 PM all cars pop exhuast wise. the srt just doenst have any mufflers which is what quiets down other cars. you can get a block off from AGP turbo. check out www.srtforums.com and do a search for BOP or block off plate Frankie Newport 04-20-2005, 03:21 PM cool..yea i found a couple of pressure pipes with flanges for the hks ssbov which is what i want and i did see that BOP on another website. thanks for your help tex. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
