L6 Dash Fixdrseth 04-18-2005, 10:27 PM I have a low mileage L6 that is in great condition except for a warped dash with shrunken leather. I have applied Lexol to the leather, but it has only slowed the progression. The foam is bubbled up in places and is hard. I have been given estimates to fix it in the #1500-$2000 range. Does anyone have a better idea on how to make the dash again like new? slyhog-22056 04-20-2005, 08:49 AM There is a better way, there is a comapny that makes a dash cap that fits very well, I intended to order one for my 633 CSi but when I got it a friend wanted it on his, went on really easy he said and looks great, here is the link to the dealer... http://automod.blastmart.com/customer/home.php?cat=83 drseth 04-22-2005, 02:05 PM There is a better way, there is a comapny that makes a dash cap that fits very well, I intended to order one for my 633 CSi but when I got it a friend wanted it on his, went on really easy he said and looks great, here is the link to the dealer... http://automod.blastmart.com/customer/home.php?cat=83 The L6 does not have a center tray. the dash cap would not work. slyhog-22056 04-25-2005, 09:41 AM Here is another sight that shows the reconstruction of a BMW dashboard, maybe this will be more help http://repo.jackmoves.com/album196 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
