So I'm driving last night and I make a left turn into my home and suddenly, "POW!" It was loud because I heard it over my music which I must admit I blast. Suddenly, I can drive straight. Did I mention that I can ONLY drive straight? I managed to pull the Grand Chero into my drive way, popped the hood and behold, my power steering pully has exploaded, and crammed itself into the radiator fan. My serpentine belt is wrapped around my engine like a dead burnt snake, and I'm standing here cursing. After spending $3000.00 two weeks prior on the front differential (U Joint), fixing a transmission fluid leak, I'm a little pissed. Has this happened to anyone? Does your pullys just go flying off in the middle of a nice Sunday evening drive?

a couple of months ago it was starting to snow really good and i was on the highway and my tension pully decided to just snap right off. everything shut down on me on the highway, powersteering, waterpump, brakes. that sucked. it was making like a jingling noise for a day or to but i thought it was the alternator. after having it towed i stopped at a small auto parts store and they carried one. i wanted to check to see if i paid too much and called around the big auto parts stores and to find out all of them had to special order it. so i lucked out that day whew!

I heard that jingling noise too. I thought is was just click clack or pistons or something. I really didn't know what the hell it was. Your brakes gave out? Lucky you didn't get into an accident. I managed to coast the car about a block downhill at the Good Year shop. You really dont appreciate power steering until it's gone.
