Finished: VW new Beetle - 1:24 Tamiyasanzvictor 04-18-2005, 05:26 AM Here's my latest built, from Tamiya, 1:24 scale, straight out of box except for some flocking on the interior. Paint is from ICI, some kind of lime-greenish, slightly fluo. I think it looks nice for a Beetle. It still needs a bit of cleaning here and there, and some paint retouching on the chassis, but... here are the pics... hope you like it !! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/88820beetle_00-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/88820beetle_01-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/88820beetle_02-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/88820beetle_03-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/88820beetle_04-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/88820beetle_05-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/88820beetle_06-med.JPG weaponCIVIC 04-18-2005, 05:10 PM nice job, hey the bottom kinda looks good like that...it looks as if you weathered it. ToMiNAToR333 04-19-2005, 03:45 AM the tires too!!! looks good!! ive got a tasmiya 1/24 beetle aswell, im building it for my gf how did u do the underside? sanzvictor 04-19-2005, 05:45 PM I wasn't satisfied with the underside, I even weathered it a bit more. I airbrushed a black-grey base, and the began to shoot mist coats of diferent shades of greys and buff. Here's how it looks now. A bit more "plain" but more real, under my point of view... http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/8882007-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/8882006-med.JPG RSTuningFactory 04-19-2005, 05:54 PM very nice interior Cobra Colors 04-19-2005, 06:40 PM Very nice color combination! Amazon 04-20-2005, 01:32 AM Like your chassie paint treatment. This is actually how cars look like after a few months on the road.. Good working! Lurchio 04-20-2005, 09:27 AM Looks real! Chassis looks identical to the Tamiya V5 golf! Nice job Amazon 04-20-2005, 04:49 PM The Beetle was actually based on the Golf IRL i think. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
