WIP - '83 Camaro Z28tigeraid 04-18-2005, 01:55 AM Building this up as a clone of a buddy's old car. Will use brushed aluminum Centerline wheels. Keep up the good work. tigeraid 04-18-2005, 05:07 AM Thanks! Panel lines completed... used the thinner + black method, worked out real well I think! http://www.efnetcars.com/album/temp/aif.jpg 99civichic 04-19-2005, 01:36 AM That engine looks great! What's the thinner + black method? tigeraid 04-19-2005, 02:48 AM you put a daub of paint on a sheet, mix it up with, I dunno, about equal parts thinner so that it's a real thin, runny consistency, and then lightly dab it into the panel lines... you usually only need to dab it once or twice, cuz the thinner makes it so runny the paint basically flows through the whole line... then quickly wipe away the excess with a kleenex and boom, detailed body lines. From what other posts have said, others prefer using tamiya paint markers though *shrug* druid_99 04-19-2005, 04:31 AM you put a daub of paint on a sheet, mix it up with, I dunno, about equal parts thinner so that it's a real thin, runny consistency, and then lightly dab it into the panel lines... you usually only need to dab it once or twice, cuz the thinner makes it so runny the paint basically flows through the whole line... then quickly wipe away the excess with a kleenex and boom, detailed body lines. I use this method for all my models; easier and faster I think. CamaroSSBoy346 04-19-2005, 06:19 PM looks nice. Is this the AMT or Revell kit? tigeraid 04-19-2005, 06:47 PM The AMT kit, with the goofy looking IMSA Silouhette rip-off fender flares and wing and such. Needless to say I didn't build it that way. But otherwise, I'm very impressed with the quality and detail. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
