add a supercharger?

Is it possible to make an 'ultra' out of a regular park avenue? any diffs besides the supercharger?

The Ultra motor has forged pistons, (lower compression) forged crank and a complete different ECM program. There may be other differences also. These I know for sure. It would not be wise to try to convert a regular 3.8 to a supercharger! Change the whole engine and ECM and you would be ok.

Hmm...Not quite sure where you got your info from but the 3800 was never offered with forged pistons and crank.
Both the SI and SII have an iron crank but the SII got hypereutectic pistons. Speaking purely SI, the compression ratio between the l27 and l67 remained 8.5:1 between them, making the addition of a supercharger a touch easier.
Don't get me wrong though, it would be no simple task. You'd need a whole host of parts and plenty of time...but its definately possible.
