Hi everyone.
well, I have a 04 impreza GX (( same as the RS but with 2.0L N/A )), and its 5 speed MT. as I know that the power split is 50:50 for my car but I want to make it locked @ 35:65 . Is it possible ? by the way can any body tell me how to find out if my car has front and rear LSD ? cuz I'm not that good in mechanics.

I don't know much about your model, but I really doubt it has front or rear LSD.

Replacing the transmission and rest of the driveline with those from an STi would give you front and rear LSD and a 35/65 split

If the GX is the same as the RS, then it doesn't have an LSD.

Why would you want the perma-split anyway?

well changing the transsmision is the last thing that I may do cuz it cost too much and take alot of time .

If the GX is the same as the RS, then it doesn't have an LSD.
do you mean that I dose not have front and rear LSD ? or only the rear ?
but ya I want to make my car 35:65 cuz when I drive hard in the rain I get alot of understeering, also I don't want the car to oversteer too much so little oversteering is what I'm looking for (( I want the feel of the rwd more than the fwd cuz AWD is acting same as any fwd car which make me sick :sly: ))

but is it true that is the 35:65 power split is not suitable for an impreza equiped with ABS ??

Get a fat rear sway bar. Problem solved.

I don't think the WRX even has a LSD front or rear.

Btw, is the torque split in the WRX 50:50 as well?

Assuming the Subarus sold in your area would be the same as the European models...

Here's the '05 specs for the GX / WRX per the subaru.co.uk site:

Says no LSD on GX; yes LSD on WRX.

WRX has a viscous rear LSD, and is 50:50 for manual transmission
