Thanks in advance

i used dynomax racing exhaust with the bullet mufflers, and it sounds tough, but its a monte carlo, so its not gonna sound like a camaro.

I currently have dual Aero Turbine mufflers on my 04 LS, it's too loud for me, doesn't sound good unless it's idling or at WOT. Other than that, it's loud and obnoxious. I'll be upgrading to DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers tomorrow and I'll let you know how it sounds.

Would new exhaust pipe tips be conducive to my SS's breathing? If so what brand and or style/model would you all recommend?

The only time a tip effects flow is if you are using a super trap muffler, other than that, it's all cosmetics. MagnaFlow makes some good looking tips though, I went with a double wall piece myself, I think they look better on our car.
