97 Monte Carlo Headlight QuestionRBeach 04-17-2005, 12:16 AM A friend wants me to replace the driver side headlight housing on his car. I removed the 2 wing nut screws from the rear of assembly, but cannot seem to get it out. It looks as though the bumper fascia (spelling?) needs to be removed to get it out. It looks as though the headlight assembly needs to be pushed towards the passenger side to release the right side then pulled out, but to do that, it looks like the bumper fascia needs to be removed. He does not have a Haynes manual for this, so I am doing this blind. Anyone attempted this before? Rusty EXTREME02 04-21-2005, 11:57 AM ya I have replaced three headlights on my car on the top of the bumper(near the headlight) on each side there are placstic clips remove them. this alows you to move your headlight over, but you have to work with it alittle bit. the headlight will slide toward the middle of your bumper cover and you should be able to get it out of there with alittle wigaling. You don"t have to take the bumper cover off. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
