I saw an S15 for sale in the local paper, and it is actually a real righthand drive 6 speed S15 Silvia. I heard that they weren't stree legal here or even allowed to be purchased here. Is that true? It is like 23k and has like 70k on it. Do you guys know anything about being abile to purchase S15 and drive them here in the US after all the legalization crap, cause I know you can with skylines and such. anyways that's for your time and kind consideration.

here you go...read the first paragraph... it says that it's the first street legal s15... they even drive it across america, and there's pictures too.

The street legal S15 in that site is ONLY LEGAL because of CORPORATE REGISTRATION. You cannot register an S15 in any state. HOWEVER.....if you register it in the name of a business you can register ANY car. That is the way you will see a few R34s on US roads. They aren't legal for anyone to register by normal means.

ok, hypothetically, what if you had a junk s14 (that you own), took the VIN tags off and put them on the s15, then retarded the timing, run low boost, etc to get it to pass emissions (or just get hot stickers). registered the car as the s14 to get tags and shit. i'm not sure about cali and shit where the cops are wise but i don't think a philly cop knows his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to the difference between an s14 or s15, especially if your VIN matches.

of course this is all totally hypothetical and highly illegal, but it just might work. then again if you got caught and found out....
