I'm glad my wife drives a Volvo...no really, she does. It's a 2004 S60 and I need to vent.

Her Check Engine light came on a couple of days ago, so we madE an appointgment to have it checked. A day later she piked it up and they said that the light came on because the cap of the gas tank was not set properly.

Needless to say she was embarrased and then called me and asked me if I remember who had refueled last. Of course she knew...it had been yours truly.

I don't know a lot about cars, but this...this...this is too much for me. Had anyone heard of this before? When did they start connecting gas caps to the car electronic system?

Hey like I said...just venting.

Thank you!

Most newer cars do this. My Nissan 200sx did this. It thinks there is a leak in the gas tank. Autozone reads Check Engine Lights for free. So does Napa. You don't have to spend money to read the codes.
