well i threw a cranck bearing and was wondering actually not how to change them but rather pulling the engine...
i can yanck an auto out and put a different one in in less than a day
but a standard is something ive never done hands on
ive been a tool boy but i was like 12 or 13 at the time i looked under at every step but thats a clutch under a car not taking a motor out with the clutch intact or how ever you do that so

how do i pull a standard motor and remove the clutch and fly wheel for bearing replacement or can i just remove them as a clutch and flywheel unit??? im probably wrong on terminology but you should understand and if not you must be a natural lol
or can i justb leave them attached to the crank wait rear main is a 1 peice right not able to slide the rear main over the fly wheel for some reason lol

ok so engine removal on a standard
fly wheel and pressure plate removal
and any hints would kik but `thanks a million in advance

yes you would have to take the cluctch pressure plate and flywhel off to get to the crank as you cant replace the crank bearing with it all on and wtf u threw it u mean u spun it if you dont know th procedure how do u know thats your problem??

and to replace thtyour gunna have to disassemble the engine and remve the crank from the engine not exactly a 1 day process

If you've spun a bearing on your crank, you'll have to have the crank turned. Many have tried to just replace the bearing, but it just don't seem to work.

Yes, that would have disaster written all over it. You would probably start losing oil pressure like crazy and it would only be a matter of time before you threw a rod. I've seen tractor trailer rig owners cheapout and not have their cranks turned after spinning a bearing, and then they eventually end up being towed back to my brother's shop with a hole torn in the side of the block.

If you spun a bearing you'll have to pull the motor apart. I'm kind of slow sometimes... you are talking about a rear main... are you talking about the rear main seal? Was it leaking? Or did you actually spin a bearing and you're trying to figure out how to pull the trans back so you can remove the whole motor?

spun a bearing and trying to figure out how to dissassemble it and if i have it turned then i need oversized bearing right...
ive never heard of it being necessity but thats on small block chevys a little better chance for oil clearence and what not but ok soi strip it down and just take it to a machine shop and say to turn all the jurnals ....
what if none look spun(no singing or galling and i dont know the prcedure to remove the clutch and replace it all else is simple
and the single day mission is remove and engine out of an auto and put an engine back in. preassembled not remove disassemble put in new bearings and put it back in i know thats too much unless i had 2 people who knew ther ass from a hole but (looks left looks right) i dont see any one around except people to get me tools and hell they just tell me that they cant find them and i end up geting them myself anyway

well if u spun it i would have the crank turned for sure it mght look good but might be out of round or minor scoring you might not else notice which will mess things up if u choose to just throw it al back together after bearing replacement..

just tear apart the whole engine no basic procedure since you hae to get to the crank and yah you can order oversized bearings to compensate for oil clearances just make sure u order the right ones after u find out how much material is gunna have to be taken off the crank..

what about the block woukld that need machining also and is removing the pressure plate and fly wheel straight forward and simple????
also do i just pull the motor out as if i were doing an automatic or do i have to remove that stuff first with the engine still in ?? if i dont have to remove, or pull back the tranny i wont hopefully i dont though but i need to know cuz im gonna see if a locakl yard has a pathfinde motor or perhaps a maxima (do you know if they fit i need to know
