i just purchased a 1969 ford 390 v8 from someone to put in my 66 f100. while installing the engine i noticed a casting or stamp on the front of the engine just below the cylinder head on the drivers side of the engine that read 352. i called the person that i got the engine from and told him that i didnt have a 390, i had a 352 and he said that a 390 uses the same engine block as a 352. i know that but i would assume that a 390 would have 390 stamped on it and a 352 would have 352 stamped on it. so is what he says is true could a 390 be stamped 352 ? i really hope i didnt buy a 352 thinking i was getting a 390.
