today at school (ivy tech) i had a guy drive the car to make it hunt gears. it did, so what he did was unplugged the electrical connector to the two solenoids and what do you know? tranny is fine as long as you shift it manually. reverse engagement is rough but who cares? i know the problem and it will drive normal if i shift manually. YAY!!!
