Can somebody verify something I have been told? I wanted to change the fuel filter on my 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 5.2L magnum but a co-worker tells me that the filter is located inside the fuel tank!!! Any truth to this?

It should be in you frame rail on the passenger side. Its alittle bit bigger then a coke can....
There is how ever one in your tank but You should not have to replace that one.....
hope this helps

the fuel filter is on the fuel pump itself the round stainless piece your fuel line connects to and it is a filter & regulator and does not require replacing unless you have contaminated fuel Dodge says they are lifetime filters
