Lord_Vektra 04-05-2002, 08:07 AM thanks thats what I guessed Cmotif 04-05-2002, 10:15 AM They do have a six disk changer and you know that it will fit. The quality of it is going to be really good, and simple to use. Some new CD players have too many little buttons, and car reviewers are saying that they don't like them. I like the Subaru CD player that I have in our Legacy GT. Cmotif <>< Lord_Vektra 04-05-2002, 10:18 AM I looked at that but I really like my pioneer cd player and my 2 12's and the 6 disk in-dash option is like $520 and I can get a Pineer 12 disk for like $220 EJ25STi 04-05-2002, 01:47 PM you can just get a dash kit to fit whatever head unit you're getting. Lord_Vektra 04-05-2002, 02:31 PM what do you mean about the dash kit? R.S. Vlady 04-07-2002, 08:44 PM Hi everyone, I have a somewhat related question to your forum. How do you take off the front cover (dash board) in a 2.5 RS, so as to be able to replace the CD player? LjasonL 04-07-2002, 09:32 PM open the cup holder above the cd player, and u can see 2 screws on each side of the cup holder, take those out. then pull the cup holder out. after the cup holder is out u can grab the top of the trim peice that surrounds the cd player, just pull it off its only clipped on. it feels like youre gonna break it but be careful and u wont. now there are 3 screws on each side of the cd player and din pocket (or just the cd player if u have the double din) once u take those 6 screws out the cd player will pull out. R.S. Vlady 04-08-2002, 09:35 AM Thank for the tip ldelaysionl, I have removed the cup holder before, but couldn't get that trim piece out, (it looked as if something was still holding it on the driver's side) I guess I'll just pull harder. LjasonL 04-08-2002, 04:18 PM yeah if youve removed the cup holder it should come out. the clips are pretty strong the 1st few times, so all i can tell u is pull harder. i dont know how hard it is to break that thing, but ive taken mine off a bunch of times, sometimes while i was pissed off at something in my sound system for not working and i wasnt very gentle with it then, but ive never broken or cracked mine.
