Progress: Nissan Micra Streetcj_baller13 04-12-2005, 09:05 AM WELL i started a new one while i wait for the weather to paint my Rx7-R1 its a nissan Micra/March; ive started by opening up the front end and meshing it over, i plan on extending the bonnet lip further down over the mesh/grill and the same over the headlights. i will probably insert an intercooler too or use wire mesh so it isnt so empty behind http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/249332micra_1.JPG the rear end started with a few different ideas, all of which came from the front end of a ford focus (revell) i tried several front bumpers which all fitted onto the back end of the micra. ive decided to settle with this one and i plan on opening it up similar to the front end with mesh over it which the exhaust coming through the mesh. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/249332micra_2.JPG So far i have no side skirts or anything, im terrible as scratch building these as you may remember from my failed beetle project so i have posted an add in the classified for some Golf GTi Mk 1 side skirts which will fit on almost perfectly. for the rest of the sides i have shaved the key holes and the side indicators as i am going to add my own. as you can see from the next pic i have opened up the sun roof which is going to be tinted black using tamiya smoke, im going to try and use a hinge on this so it will open and close fairly easily. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/249332micra_4.JPG any comments welcome and please be forthcuming (cant spell) cheers cj_baller13 04-12-2005, 12:29 PM i guess its that bad no boddy wants to comment wat a :loser: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: mrceej 04-12-2005, 12:43 PM It's not that it's bad, I just didn't see it yet!! I was staring at that bumper and was wondering why it looked familiar.
