View Full Version : Would you buy it?? Would you buy it?? Nickoras 04-12-2005, 01:15 AM 240SXSlideStar 04-12-2005, 01:47 AM You are asking a bunch of people who love the S chassis more then sex (or almost). Of course they would take it, for that price, I have no idea, but I for one would buy it if I had 8 grand! So the answer is yes. CassiesMan 04-12-2005, 01:56 AM If I had 8k I would bagwanshrirashnish 04-12-2005, 03:10 AM What good is it to you in Guam? You can't get it legal there. I have a buddy here who is returning to Guam (his home) and had to let go of his beloved 180SX because it can't go home with him. S13 Silvia in Japan for $8000.....to much. sidewayzS13 04-12-2005, 12:11 PM shit it isnt like any one us americans can buy it either and get it legal unless we had a 240 and put the 240 vin on it maybe im not sure if that is possible just a idea Nickoras 04-12-2005, 07:31 PM Haha, thanks guys. 180SX not legal? Really? As far as that, he'll get here and see tons of illegal cars on the road. So he should've just brought it. Anyway like I said probably won't buy it. nisco 04-12-2005, 09:47 PM my question, is how you getting it imported?.... and it be "legal" nissanfanatic 04-12-2005, 10:16 PM I wouldn't buy it. Not for 8 grand anyways. monooxide 04-12-2005, 11:21 PM What cop is going to know hey this is not a legal CAR..whoop whoop!!...no...Just tell teh insurance company its a 240SX with a body conversion. 240SXSlideStar 04-12-2005, 11:41 PM Do they have 240s in Guam? Nickoras 04-13-2005, 03:47 AM Well importing is no problem. I'd just wonder how to get it registered, although I'm sure if I checked there'd be someone I could get hooked up with. I've never had an emissions test on any car nor have I ever heard of one. Though I'm not really into the whole "legal scene." As far as 240's go, there are tons here. As well as a few 180's that I've seen around. No one wants to sell them though thanks to the whole import scene taking off. One 240 in particular I've tried buying three times now. Its just been sitting in the same spot and the rust is getting mighty interested in it. And rust never needed a pink slip as far as I know. NiSmO_zt 04-14-2005, 05:26 PM if it was already imported to the states and leagalized, then it would be worth 8k, but over seas, their worth about a quarter of that to the domestic market. silvias and 180's sell for like 1800 us dollars in australia and japan, its sick, i feel cheated. Pavlo 04-14-2005, 07:45 PM For $8000 you can do soo much to your 240, Including the 180sx conversion. nissanfanatic 04-14-2005, 08:09 PM ^I agree. 240SXSlideStar 04-14-2005, 10:14 PM But he doesn't have a 240. Pavlo 04-14-2005, 11:51 PM Ok, he could get a 240sx, with say blown engine for $500. Do a SR swap for around $4000 with work, on the way he could also thrown in some upgrades for around a 2G, and spend the rest on appearance, to make it look completely JDM. Now SR with 2g put in it will produce over 300whp (IC, custom piping, larger turbo, MAF, Injectors), so you figure out if it is worth it. 240SXSlideStar 04-14-2005, 11:59 PM He's in Guam, all that shit prolly costs 5x more there. Pavlo 04-15-2005, 08:29 PM Ohh, my bad. Well then I think it is possible to legalize a 180sx, which can be found for FAR less then $8000.
