92dxhatch(vs)97excoupe bothautoSpinalfury 04-03-2002, 12:27 PM he has a short ram intake and a cat back exhaust his interior was stripped no spare or tools or back seat my mods are in sig he was rollin on stock rims i was on 17 inch billet specialties e1 rims. its my friend mark and his car just got out of the shop from some body work he had done so we decided to race. we lined up its prolly close to a quarter mile or not quite anyways we both torque braked and he got the jump on me but i quickly made that up and had him at my back bumber by 30 when his car shifted and mine just started pullin super hard in first till 35 i gained like 1 and like almost a half cars on him we stay with this same lead till i hear his vtec kick in and my car just started pullin again in second so he didnt gain any (thank god) then his car shifts again at like 60 and i start pullin good again till 65 when my car shifts to 3 i have about 3 lengths on him by this time we hold the same gap he gets maybe a few inches further then when my car hit 74 - 76 somewhere in there i pulled alittle more on him and we shut it down there i got up to about 80 before we shut it down i won by like 3-4 car lengths my gf and like everyone was there and they all said it sounded like mad bees passin. is this normal for a dx hatch to kill an ex coupe? what times do ex coupes run with intake exhaust auto. my mods are in sig i think its updated. 90CRXZCSi 04-03-2002, 01:32 PM I think the reason you won is because of the weight advantage. Even if you both had the same mods, he has VTEC but it doesnt help him since it's a automatic. liquid8 04-04-2002, 04:37 PM i don't know if it's normal but it's sure as hell possible given your mods. i raced a 96 ex manual. and i have a 93 dx hatch manual. and i beat him by half a car. so yeah i think you should beat him. it's the weight advantage. oh and we were both stock fred97gle 04-12-2002, 01:41 PM I have a 92 hatch, 1.5 non vtec, and beat my brothers 96 LX from a dead stop and from a 30 mph roll. I had about 1/2 length from 0 to about 40 then I started slowly pulling away. He has a 1.6. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
