90 series F-150, Coffee cans under the hood?metalgouger 04-10-2005, 09:34 AM I was once taught that there is no such thing as a stupid question... so here goes. Under the hood of the 90's f-150 there are two coffee can shaped canisters with vaccuum tubes going to them. One is completely roited away. What's in them? I was told it's activated charcoal, is this true? I want to make a replacement. I am standing ready with a freshly painted COFFEE can and I have fabricated the old top to fit. I need to know what goes inside. The can is located under the hood on the Drives Side, up near the radiator. Does it mount on it's side like the other one or upright? thankx 4 U'r Help :) dreymeek 04-10-2005, 11:40 AM Why do you think Fords run so well in the morning? They're getting a coffee injection! I'm done trying to be funny, the coffee can is a vacuum booster. Vacuum is stored in the can so it can operate accessories smoothly. The carbon canister is plastic and will have lines from the carb bowl vent and the tank. I say use some Red Bull or Whup Ass cans and make a 6 pack vac booster. Serve up some Whup Ass on the Chevy crowd! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
