P.D.: Sorry for my bad english! nicecar 04-10-2005, 08:24 AM looks good stefaan 04-10-2005, 01:59 PM OH, that's too bad man, i'm feeling really sorry for you, i hope you'll be able to fix the paint. SchuberT 04-10-2005, 03:06 PM You had the SAME problem that I did when I tried to two-tone my R34! I didn't lose ALL the gold, but all the top layers peeled off :\. I feel your pain man, hope you recover. Mine's still in the brake fluid. rx7king 04-10-2005, 03:23 PM looks good, thats unfortunate about the paint, did it peel off with the masking tape? Feint Motion 04-10-2005, 03:48 PM Its looking good, To bad about the paint though. Did you prime? SPEEDERZ 04-10-2005, 05:16 PM its great! the problem with paint happen averytime with me too...I don't know what to do avoid it... any idea is really welcome! flw! see ya! SchuberT 04-10-2005, 05:18 PM its great! the problem with paint happen averytime with me too...I don't know what to do avoid it... any idea is really welcome! flw! see ya! Well, metallics especially tend to peel off primer or not when you mask over them. It's obviously an adhesion problem, and so far Floquil are the only paints I haven't had the problem with. Whumbachumba 04-10-2005, 05:20 PM That's a great color. Too bad about the paint peeling. I haven't had a problem with my boyd's metallic paint peeling, so maybe the tape your using is too sticky. Try blue painters tape or some low adhesion masking tape. SchuberT 04-10-2005, 05:23 PM Just a side note: I also find it funny that you masked in all the exact same places I did. The rear diffuser, where you stopped on the trunk.... bimbachetuning 04-10-2005, 06:03 PM I was used Tamiya Mask Type, to mask the paint. I was't use primer first. First use tamiya color, and later duplicolor... put the mask, to paint in black. When retire the mask, sorprise!, only the back parts are bad ¬¬ Thanks for the comments, i reestart tomorrow again ;) bimbachetuning 04-17-2005, 05:21 PM Later of despaint, this is the result: http://www.bimbachetuning.com/proyectos/skyline/006.jpg http://www.bimbachetuning.com/proyectos/skyline/007.jpg http://www.bimbachetuning.com/proyectos/skyline/008.jpg http://www.bimbachetuning.com/proyectos/skyline/009.jpg Tomorrow, reestart the black zone ;) P.D.: No have a Wax...
