charging problems NEED HELP!!!!!!!!duncanzj 04-10-2005, 04:56 AM Hey i hava a quick question for anyone to answer, i have a 94 GC 4.0 and recently had the check engine light come on. when i got home i flashed the codes and it kicked back 41 to me, when i looked it up in my repair manual it said that it had something to do with my voltage regulator, i was wondering where the voltage regulator is located at and how hard is it to replace. Thank you and look forward to your replies. Cam7 04-10-2005, 06:39 AM The Voltage Regulator is inside the PCM Power Control Module and cant be serviced. A code 41 shows a open or shorted condition in the generator control circuit. If you have a Voltmeter connect across the battery to see how muck voltage you have when the vechile is running. Should be around 14 -15 volts. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
