BlazerLT 04-09-2005, 04:13 AM check fuel pressure fredbear 04-10-2005, 08:23 PM fuel pressure ok,could this be a timing issue,or crank sensor maybe BlazerLT 04-10-2005, 09:21 PM fuel pressure ok,could this be a timing issue,or crank sensor maybe What is the fuel pressure reading? andy001 01-08-2008, 11:48 AM I'm having the same issue on a 1998 s-10. New wires, cap, rotor, coil, plugs....what else could it be?????? 16th hippy 01-08-2008, 09:24 PM @Fred: assuming you have the 2.2I4 since you replaced coil packs. you said "will crank over, but will fire"??? meaning it will spit and sputter, or not catch at all? as Blazer asked, what was the actual reading for fuel pressure? how was the truck running before? did it make a pop and quit? was fuel filter changed? i have seen where clogged filter will still give good pressure reading, but not enough fuel volume gets to engine. @Andy: since you replaced cap and rotor, assumnig you have the 4.3V6. same kinds of questions. getting fuel? getting spark? how was it running before, any spits and sputters while cranking? j cAT 01-08-2008, 09:41 PM spray starting fluid into intake 2seconds worth no more , if it starts and then rapidly dies you have fuel problem this technic can be used on most gas engines as a quick way to determine if engine is gas starved.......
