I have a Canadian :shakehead made 2000 Monte Carlo SS and went to hook my air conditioning recharge kit up and the only port I saw was driver side under hood near front *BUT* the fitting on the line is BIGGER in diameter then the connector on the end of my recharge kit. Does anyone know if this is the wrong :nono: (high pressure) line or did the tricky Canadians use a different size recharge port on their AC units???? :banghead:

I believe the fitting you're looking for is near the air filter assembly, just behind and almost under it.

did you ever figure this out? i am haveing the same problem

the correct port is on the firewall on the drivers side,,,..i charged mine last year ...what a difference, make sure u habe the proper hose to charge it.., it shouldnt be bigger, its an r134a only fitting so nobody puts r12 in by accident
