Hey everyone I needed help figuring out whats wrong with my motor. I have a b18 C1 swap into my 2000 civic and it has trouble starting. Every time I turn on my car after letting my car sit for a few hours, the motor struggles to start, then it kicks on. But when I drive the car, shut it down, then start it again about an hour later it starts smoothly. I was wondering if it could be my ECU? or if my regulator isn't pumping enough fuel? Below is a list of what I've done to my motor so far and what I've recently replaced. Please help if you can. Thanks.

Engine:
AEM CAI
AEM fuel rail and regulator
DC headers

Replaced recently:
Spark plugs and wires
power steering pump
oil and filter

Try Fuel Filter, If Its Clogged You Might Need One.

umm dosnt honda got that chip in the distrubitor cap ( my accord had one go bad and the car would just die a lot and not start for a while but then it would run fine ) any ways dont know if you got it but my mech told me they have a tendency to get dmaged from heat and would fail a lot ?

Im not quite sure if there is a chip in the distributor but i already checked for spark and everything is just fine. The fuel filter clogged? I never considered that....but ill be sure to give it a shot. Thanks for the posts.

it wont affect spark it just starts to fail then start working again, it is right in the distrubiter cap it self. but this is mostly i guess about you issue, I would also check up on that fuel filter mentioned.
