2fast4me 01-14-2005, 06:15 PM I feel your pain. When I got my '94 9C1, my BIL told me to keep it in the garage, but the wife got the garage, sigh. Fortunately, I have 4 cops in my immediate, one way in and one way out neighborhood, so it seems pretty safe. Wow, I feel a karma here....9C1 vs. girlfriend! Tough choice isn't it!! Hope you get it back, and whole too. '97ventureowner 01-14-2005, 11:44 PM In my past I've owned a 1975 Caprice Classic bought it in 1986. Nice big car , spacious interior. I remember one winter going down the road, when the car in front of me stopped suddenly without signaling to make a left turn. Well, I applied my brakes, but the roads were too slippery. Ended up hitting a utility pole at 35 mph. No damage to the car whatsoever., (pole was fine too.) literally bounced off of it. Can't do that with today's cars. A couple of years after that I bought a 1970 Caprice, and in 1992 bought a 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air, ( I know it's not a Caprice, but it's in the same family.) I still have the '64 today, which I'm in the process of restoring. ASJT3 01-17-2005, 03:15 PM Here's mine: a 1987 Caprice Estate http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/283334my_caprice.JPG Michel73 01-18-2005, 11:03 AM ebones 01-26-2005, 09:09 PM I don't know if this helps, but it looks like they have a tail light here: http://www.chevypartspro.com/cgi-bin/parts/index.html?cat=73&year=1996&make=CHEVROLET&model=CAPRICE The main site is here: http://www.chevypartspro.com/ Another place to check is: www.rockauto.com (http://www.rockauto.com) So far, they appear to have the most extensive catalog of new/reman replacement caprice parts I've seen so far. Let me know if this helps. Hey, I sell tail lights and even custom clear tail lights, checkout my web page http://members.cardomain.com/ebones limodrivr 01-30-2005, 11:08 AM Bought an '85 Caprice (sorry, V6 4.3, no 125 mph for me) in 1996 with 36k mi. Now has 75 k, just re-painted 'gold'- except its tan if the sun doesn't shine on it directly. Better than the surface rust it was showing ... Just changed tranny oil, performs lots better, still hoping the over-rev going into third diminishes. Hal cashfirst 04-10-2005, 02:42 PM I have one but I don't have any pictures. I need to get down with you thoug. I want to rebuild my original engine. I want to start from scratch. Do you know how long it takes to finish one to perfection. How can I get a copy of the manual. This last time was only a little over 2 months. Both times though the posters should've started new threads,( hey they're new give 'em a little break  ) Your car looks like our old cop cars that our city used in the early to mid '90s. What color blue is that? Our cars used that blue with white lettering, then they switched to a white Caprice with gold and blue lettering. Now they went retro with the white and black colored cars. 1986Z28 04-13-2005, 04:44 PM i dont know what color it is but it sure is ugly, paint is next thing on my list for this car Gearhead406350 04-20-2005, 10:16 AM Hey i have a 91 Caprice Wagon and i just spent like $1100 on wheels and tires for it. I've got dual exhaust and it has the stock 305 but i'm looking for a 350 with low miles from a 90's Caprice so i can swap the chip and everything. I'm putting a radio in it and hopefully i will tint the windows. I'll try to post some pics. Twist'n-Wrenches 05-01-2005, 09:21 AM I have a 9C1 X-RCMP crusier with the LT1 and the G80 rearend code. Just love it to bad the wife had to break her Ford Exploder with a H.O. 5.0 in it. Funny how she tells me that she beat this car and this car on her way home from work but she doesn't race the Exploder. HAHA that is why I am about to change the flex plate in it as the center of it some how broke. Well there is a possitive to her driving the 9C1 you see she really likes the chev we just might get her out of the blue oval and into a bowtie yet there still is hope. As for the pics can't get the car to stop long enough to get one. Stargazer77 05-23-2007, 01:26 PM Hello, pretty new to AF, was here for advice on my fiancee's Lumina, but decided to peruse the Caprice board... I am sad to say mine is about due for retirement... Have a 1992 Caprice L03 civilian, that has 210K on her and has been through hell and back a few times... It was a little beaten when I picked her up 4+ years ago for $800, and is dyin now... I was in an accident and have not been able to fully repair the body, the power steering is pretty much dead, needs new exhaust, and some punk kids decided to relieve me of my stereo and front pass window the other night... I hate to have to put her down, but she is sticking together by my will and dwindled finances alone.... Would own another "Bathtub" in a half a heartbeat if I could, someday perhaps.... moparvwfreak 06-20-2007, 02:45 AM ok heres mine. 84 Caprice Classic Wagon 8 passenger 307 200R4 auto. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v422/moparPW200guy/wagon/th_Picture043.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v422/moparPW200guy/wagon/Picture043.jpg) deesandvees 08-09-2007, 01:52 AM Here's my 1982 sport coupe. Mostly stock, except no emissions stuff like cats (they were gone when I got it). Also, edelbrock intake manifold and dual exhaust. Note the baby moon hubcaps... those get lots of comments. Body is in sucky shape, but it runs and that's all that really matters. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/43552car_web.jpg yah that's tight right there, fo do's equal mo hoes but a coupe rides dirty like betty boop deesandvees 08-09-2007, 01:54 AM My 80 Caprice .... well i dont know how do post pics i guesS?? here is the ebay auction with i baught the car wait i figured it ou http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/501/131790af_1_s.jpg nice, what color's the interior? deesandvees 08-09-2007, 02:20 AM here's mine in it's current condition, a real '87, don't worry the motor and trans are being well taken care of and that engine bay's about to be spotless (sorry the photo sucks it's from my cell phone) http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o219/ernestmayhand/Caprice%20resto/0728071322.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o219/ernestmayhand/Caprice%20resto/0616071627.jpg '97ventureowner 08-09-2007, 11:16 PM deesandvees- One problem with replying to old, outdated threads is that many of the members who have responded in the past are no longer actively involved with the site. 80 Caprice to whom you quoted and asked a question was last active in January of 2004. With that said and the constant resurrection of this thread, I think it's time to close it and if there is enough interest in starting a new one, then go right ahead. With new members joining this group on a daily basis, I'm sure you would get more responses in a short amount of time,(plus many of the member's cars may have been modded or re-done since first posting them and they may want to show them off again.
