Not long after we bought our 02 Grand Cherokee new the instrument panel quit working, carried it to the dealer, in just a few minutes they had it working, said a spike cause this.

Now in 05 and some 42,000 miles later it has done this again, none of the instruments are working, wife stopped by our dealer and they said it was not a simple fix, to come back next Tuesday.

Anyone else had this problem and know what might cause this and or if it might be related to the first time this happened?

Oh, it runs fine, radio CD player works, just speedometer, gas

This morning I tried the old all time fix of disconnecting the battery, after doing this the once again everything works, wonder for how long?

Still wonder if anyone has ever run into such a problems.

Speedometer, amp, gas, temp, tachometer, and dash lights were not working.

The AC, heater, radio and their lights were working just fine!
