Where can I buy a GM Service Manual for my 96 C1500? The ones you get at the auto parts stores don't seem to be detailed enough.

you will have to go to the dealer to get one. And it will cost you about 75 bucks. You can also look for one on e-bay.

This sight will give you the actual shop manuals for your truck.

Hope this helps

I have found eBay to be a good source of factory repair manuals at great bargains. I would check there first to see if there is one for your truck. I purchased one for my van for $25. Sometimes when dealerships go out of business, their inventory is auctioned off on eBay, and you can find assorted factory manuals along with other great items only the dealer had. There are also other internet auction sites that may have the manuals also.
