89 Trooper $1,000 With 2 Brunt Valves Should I Buy??

I have the chance to buy a 1989 Trooper 2.6L 4X4 5spd that is in very good condition exept for 2 burnt valves.Supposedly the truck had 1 bad exhaust valve and the shadetree adjusted too tight and now it has 2 burnt.

Any idea what the repair would cost ballpark? $1,OOO worth it?

When the head is pulled I would think about replacing all of the valves (due to the age) or an entire new head (700 bucks).

If the body and frame are rust free and the maintance has been kept up then, yes, it is worth 1k. If not, its worth 500.

I would think a ballpark number to have the head work done, to basic maintance (fluids, wires, filters, plugs .....) you are in the 1000 dollar range to get it road ready (even more if it needs exhaust work and brake work and cooling work (new radiator due to the 16 year old age).

For The 1000 You Will Spend In Maintance+ 1000 For Purchase You Could Buy My 94 4x4 That Runs Fine!!!
