Hi Guys,

Does anybody know if there is any adverse/negative effect on the engine if it idles for long hrs on a spot? On saturday i spent close to 4hrs within a 1000m distance no thanks to terrible traffic caused by repair work on a bridge. I had my engine on all that while with my a.c also on. My question is: Is this harmful for the car? can it cause wear or damage to the engine or any component in any way? Just to know if it's something i should avoid.
