DoorsScorch 04-03-2005, 07:48 PM Is there any way to get the lamborghini doors (opening up) on the Gallardo? It makes no sense what so ever, as that is what lamborghinis are known for, it just dosnt seem right buying one without them! So im wondering if any dealers can actually modify the doors for you at an extra cost? Thanks ... V12Unleash 04-03-2005, 07:52 PM you have to try aftermarket dude, the up swing doors is v12 exclusive. TexasF355F1 04-04-2005, 11:03 AM Don't buy the aftermarket doors, they are cheap crap and will further bring down the value of the Gallardo. If you're really serious about a Lambo, why not buy a Murci if you want the scissor doors? V12Unleash 04-04-2005, 11:55 AM if you are serious about a lambo you won't choose a gallado ChaserAero 04-14-2005, 02:28 PM GT Factory makes a kit specifically for the Gallardo. Its completely adjustable and can open up to 90 degrees. It's CNC machined and nickel plated and comes with 2 gas charged shocks for each door. Here are some pics of the Gallardo with the GT Factory kit. http://www.aerokits.net/ebayinfo/Gallardo/GallardoFS.jpg http://www.aerokits.net/ebayinfo/Gallardo/GallardoS.jpg Kerbie 04-22-2005, 05:38 PM if you are serious about a lambo you won't choose a gallado why the hell not. its half the price and 9/10 the power. You still get the exclusiveness and prestige. The Gallardo is an excellent choice for someone that is serious about a Lambo, but doesnt have the bankroll for a Murcie. Scorch 05-08-2005, 12:54 PM Thanks for all the replies, the gt factory kit looks very good on it. How reliable is it though? Would it effect the warranty? ChaserAero 05-16-2005, 11:44 AM Lifetime Warrenty, GT Factorys kit is by far the strongest kit on the market. MATAD0R 09-08-2005, 07:04 PM Hi Guys, i had my first car at LSD in Germany and they figured out a way to install the doors. Normally i am not allowed to post this pictures, but i think there is not someone of them reading this... ;o) they might sue me HARHAR ;o) I posted 2 pictures in my gallery. The car was destroyed by a truck in geneva. the insurance paid the whole thing. i dont want to have the doors on my orange car. i installed the whole thing by myself. after the gallardo was there for prototyping i wanted to try it myself again. Ed. The Shadowman 09-10-2005, 02:43 AM All Lamborghinis "DO NOT" have lifting doors. Each car has it's own personality. The Gallardo is wonderful as it is ...case in point....the fellow that had them on his car.....wrecked......and then did not put them on his new Gallardo......why? I suspect because they were not part of the design of the car as such the getting in and out of the car sucked..... furthermore they are not a true up swing door...they pop out and then you lift them up.... funky to say the least regardless of how strong the system is........they maybe cool when the car is parked.....just maybe.... however I prefer to drive mine. Shadowman MATAD0R 09-14-2005, 06:37 PM You are absolutely right. The mechanism is not the strongest and i decided not to do it again. the hinges themself were made very strong and of a good quality but the shocks were a absolute piece of SiHt. i drove 3 times to the manufacturer to replace the shocks with strongerones and everytime they told me a new fairytale. The gallardo should be without the wings, it should be like it is. I am working on carbon fibre interior parts to make different lil pieces sporty and nicer, but i wouldn´t do anything on my body anymore. Ed. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
