how many psi of oil pressure should i have at idle, after warm up im below 5 on the digigage im normal but analog says 3 psi or so and cat 1000rpm i got 20 and by 4000 i get 60??
are these normal numbers an what can i do to overcome???

the digital dash is inaccurate alot usually you should have about 10psi for every 1,000 rpm

so other than idle im ok then hmm must be the bearings are starting to wear just not dead yet hmm

or maybe your sensor isnt all that accurate which could be a huge possibility...

its an aftermarket gauge ? still think it is inaccurate i guess i dont know why not

yah the oil pressure sending unit is natorious for going bad in the z31's...

mechanicel 1/8" copper line fed oil pressure gauge
reads approx 2 3 psi after warm up at approx 700 rpm all aftermarket equip no sender completly mechanicl i fear i probably have low oil pressure
then again i tried to use some redline oil after being a religus castrol syntec user
hmm are there that many detergents or something allthough it sounds good and smooth and hell even after idling for 10 min with the said 3 psi it sounds perfect i touch the throttle the pressure builds???? i guess well see she sounds great for what she is though lol

well i think i cured that problem i just switched back to my origanal opil and its all good
approx 12 psi at idle after warmed and reved and idled and reved blah blah blah

well sounds good to hear tahts all it was was an easy fix ..

yeah and i had peopl try and shun me away from it ??? said no dont spend that kinda money on it

i was like it she is not an it (lol) she is my wife would you buy your wife a cubic zerconuim (i would but only to spring for good oil for my baby lol)
