b16a1 + hydro tranny...threethirteen 03-31-2002, 10:15 PM does this work? im dropping a b16a1 SiR I into a 95integra rs. will it fit with the hydro tranny? i know the engine was built with a cable tran. does it matter? Moppie 03-31-2002, 10:21 PM Easy swap mate. All the B series engines bolt up to all the B series g/boxs. 90CRXZCSi 03-31-2002, 11:28 PM if your looking for a good tranny for the B16A1 then go with the GSR tranny..it grabs alot better and closer than any other b series although the LS is pretty close to it. But it will bolt right up even it the B16A1 was cable to start with. threethirteen 04-01-2002, 01:52 AM thank you. threethirteen 04-02-2002, 01:32 PM ok, so then what exactly do i need to make this work? its a b16a1 engine into the integra (its a 94, not 95. i was given false info). i have the engine, didnt come with the ecu but i ordered that yesterday (does it HAVE to be the b16a ecu? cos i can get a b16b..) ive got all the pistons, valvetrain, all that crap...i just need to know, what do i need to stick this thing in my hood and start my car? 90CRXZCSi 04-02-2002, 03:15 PM yes you will need the B16A ECU to make it work. Like i said you can use any b series tranny you want but i like the GSR tranny only because i have one and i like the way it grabs. Good luck with everything.;) threethirteen 04-02-2002, 06:42 PM what is this cable to hydro tran conversion kit i am hearing about? is it to fit the tran to the engine? or to just change the tranny all together? 91zc 04-02-2002, 06:57 PM It changes how the clutch is actuated. This is so a newer car can use a cable actuated clutch system rather than the hydraulic actuated system that comes stock on most newer hondas. Basically so a complete 1st gen b16a can be swapped into a 92 and up honda/acura 90CRXZCSi 04-02-2002, 06:58 PM It's for people who have CRX's with a cable tranny who want to put in a Integra LS engine and hydraulic tranny. 91zc 04-02-2002, 07:19 PM I didn't think a cable to hydro conversion was made. I only thought there was one made to convert hydro to cable?? threethirteen 04-02-2002, 09:28 PM sweet deal. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
