hey i just got 2 new 12 inch 4 ohm compvrs when i meant to get the 2 ohm ones. i have it wired it up to a 4 ohm load on my kicker kx600.1 amp and it doesnt sound that bad. it puts out like 300 watts at 4 ohms so itd be liek 150 watts to each sub kinda . but i was thinkin about switchin to the 2 ohm model and wire it down to 2 ohms cuz the subs need 400 wats rms so i cud liek 300 watts to each sub. I was just wondering if this is right or if it would really even make a difference because i think the compvrs can put out a little more power than wut i have them wired up to now. help.

I would change them, the more power the better in my opinion....

Are they sealed? If so port them and don't worry about it.

Wait, if you have 2 4ohm subs, they SHOULD be wired to a 2ohm load. Your options with 4ohm subs is either 4ohm stereo, 2ohm mono, or 8ohm mono.

the comp vr is a dvc sub. it can be wired to 2 ohm. then bridge the two as a single 4 ohm in mono. youll get what your looking for.
