Hey guys, my 1994 Accord LX 4dr's attena is broken. I look in the hole and it looks like it just got broken off somehow. Im not too sure if the motor is dead. Can anyone help me on how to replace it and check and see if the motor is broken or not..i dont want to replace the motor and attena when the attena was just snapped off. Thanks guys

The antenna motor runs when you turn the radio on or off whether the antenna goes up or not. If you don't hear anything, the motor may not be running due to a blown fuse or a burned out motor. The unit is removable and can be disassembled. If the motor is running when you turn the radio on, remove the holding nut on the outside of the car and then turn on the radio. The antenna should be expelled. A new mast can be purchased and fed down the hole with the teeth facing to the rear. When the teeth engage, turn off the radio and the mast should be drawn down into the tube. When the motor stops, push the antenna down by hand and reinstall the holding nut. You may have to cycle the motor a couple of times, pushing down on the antenna if it doesn't go all the way down when the radio is off.

That is really cheap. I would question the quality of the offer and the reliability of the seller. New masts without motor go for about $50.

When mine broke, I got a new mast at Pepboys or something for alot cheaper than $50...it was a universal, but it worked fine. You could probably get one that cheap from someone parting out a car on here, or from a local junkyard.

Its 29.99 with 12$ shipping..thinking this is a good deal i guess. How do i remove the old antenna on the outside of the car? Does it unscrew or pop off?

that is odd...it works fine for me. Are you clicking on the link or copy pasting it into your browser...as it seems AF's programming code likes to abbreviate links when they are posted. But I just double checked it again, and it works fine for me...
