exterior mounted spare?

I have a '94 S15 SLE V6 4door 2WD

The spare is currently mounted inside the rear compartment. I would like to install a swing gate for an exterior mount.

Anyone done this or know how best to proceed? Thanks.

There are some aftermarket companies that make swing gate tire holders for non reenforced trucks... Check over at www.s10extremeists.com
