97 Blazer Front end conversion.mac10334 03-31-2005, 03:14 AM Hello, I need some help i want to do a front end conversion from a 97 chevy blazer. So far i have ordered: 1.Radiator core support 98-04 2.New Grill assembly 3.Front bumper 4.two headlights for 00' with clips 5.parking lights 00' I was wondering if the wires for the composite headlights on the 97 blazer will be the same for the 98-04's. also if there is anything else that i need to order i.e wire dongles or..... rlith 03-31-2005, 06:00 AM You've got the main stuff... Yes, your existing composite pigtails will be fine with no rewiring for the 98+ lights. You may want to consider the 98+ front bumper and valance to top it off. I did the conversion using my old bumper and valance and was never 100% satisfied with it, fortunatly some pulled a hit and run on me and made the upgrade decision for me..LOL.. mac10334 04-01-2005, 12:47 AM Thanks, by the way has anyone seen a diagram or instructions for the radiator support core removal? rlith 04-01-2005, 05:58 AM Not real hard.... Remove both fenders (best way) Remove the front body bushing bolts. Remove radiator. Swing condensor up out of the way, pull core support. My 1st time took me about 3 hours to do the entire swap. mac10334 04-02-2005, 08:43 PM are these the plastic clips needed to put the headlights onto the radiator core support? mac10334 04-02-2005, 08:44 PM dmbrisket 51 04-03-2005, 03:00 AM yes, that is the only thing holding them there rlith 04-03-2005, 06:52 AM Well no, there are 2 L shaped clips that go over the 2 top squares (on each side) that hold it in. The 2 long bottom tabs rest in the holes on the core support You might also consider not using the crappy fluted glass of the OEM lights and go with these... I hate driving at night in mine (my wifes 01 outback lights up the road great). Do you think I can get the stuff needed for the conversion out of the junk yard? Thanks alot. rlith 04-03-2005, 06:46 PM My TYC's (pictured above) are much better than the 95-97 composite or the 98-current composite.... No fluted lenses on the TYC! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
