what are the differences between the 70 skylark and 70 gs? are most of their parts interchangeable? or are they totally different cars, body, style? hard to find '70 skylark parts, need to know if parts are interchangable. would appreciate all help!

Basically a GS is the performance version of the Skylark... same body and chassis... but that's where it ends. GS's came with better suspensions, drivetrains, Ram Air hoods, and upgraded engnes (although the 350 was available in both models), different front grilles (except for 72's), different interior's were available (bucket seats, consoles, tach, ralley gauges, sport steering wheels), and some other differences I'm not rembering right now.

Everything from a GS is interchangable with the Skylark.... good luck hunting for parts. There are a few good sites out there for parts and info... Without the internet, parts would be impossible to get for them.

Here are some links for parts & stuff:

Good Luck.
