hey guys.
need some advice.
I went to my mechanic to get the annual tune-up.
Everything went fine except for one thing.
He told me that the Truck had a problem and the gasoline was mixing with the oil, internally because I have a bad fuel pump actuator.
He wanted $800 for the GM ordered Part and said about an hours labour.
At first I called bullsh*t on him and that price quote and left it as is.
Later in the week I check the old dip stick and it did smell faintly of gas.
I need to know if you guys have heard of anything like this or is there something else that I should look at.
I kinda know this guy, but still don't believe his ass enough to drop $800 on what he says.
Advice?

Check to see if your CPI is leaking.

Buy the injector off of ebay, buy the nut kit from the dealer and do the swap yourself.

You obviously didn't use the search feature.

I just did and found one of the threads where I explained it.
