cant decide on exhausttadder salid 03-29-2005, 06:49 PM ive been researching so many exhausts and i can't make a decision. ive been looking for a performance exhaust thats not too loud but loud enough to turn heads. i like the round look but large muffler. ie.. greddy evo 2. but i have a magnaflow oval exhaust right now and love the sound. i wanna keep that sound but up the performance. what other awesome cat backs are there besides the greddy or apex'i? are magnaflow good? i heard theyre alittle ricey... i hate that. sorry its so long but thanks later johnb16a2 03-29-2005, 09:38 PM Check out DC Sports and Comptech. Both are top quality, a friend has the DC sports and it sounds great. I just bought a Comptech system but haven't installed it yet. GL tadder salid 03-29-2005, 10:14 PM i heard the greddy is a really nice exhaust system. is the evo2 really that quiet? can you hear it driving? i mean can the person next or a block away tell that you have a big exhaust on? Yea the EVO2 is fairly loud. GScivic7 03-30-2005, 02:27 PM exhaust isn't going to do shit for performance. If you like the magnaflow you have now keep it. Magnoflow makes awesome exhaust systems. sanocivic 03-30-2005, 02:54 PM ive been researching so many exhausts and i can't make a decision. ive been looking for a performance exhaust thats not too loud but loud enough to turn heads. i like the round look but large muffler. ie.. greddy evo 2. but i have a magnaflow oval exhaust right now and love the sound. i wanna keep that sound but up the performance. what other awesome cat backs are there besides the greddy or apex'i? are magnaflow good? i heard theyre alittle ricey... i hate that. sorry its so long but thanks later skunk2. great sound, (2 options with removable silencer btw) great looks, and 1-3 hp gain past 4500 rpm.. tadder salid 03-30-2005, 03:03 PM exhaust isn't going to do shit for performance. Magnoflow makes awesome exhaust systems. the reason i was looking at more exhausts was to openthe doors for more performance. i/h/e can relaly open those doors. sanocivic 03-30-2005, 03:07 PM the reason i was looking at more exhausts was to openthe doors for more performance. i/h/e can relaly open those doors. you can gain a couple of hp from an exhuast. any first year honda tech will tell you the same. you lose a little on the low end, but pick it up on the high end. (of the rpm scale i mean) people who disregard exhuast b/c of "no hp gains" arent the people you want to listen to. every single hp counts, and if you do enough things that give you just a little, soon you get alot. add that to some real mods, and you see how just a little something can give you the edge, hp wise. GScivic7 03-30-2005, 04:07 PM the reason i was looking at more exhausts was to openthe doors for more performance. i/h/e can relaly open those doors. yah, open the doors to a whopping 10-12 horsepower. I/H/E will roughly cost $1000 you can do a custom turbo setup for that much. check out www.homemadeturbo.com GScivic7 03-30-2005, 04:09 PM people who disregard exhuast b/c of "no hp gains" arent the people you want to listen to. every single hp counts, and if you do enough things that give you just a little, soon you get alot. every single hp counts when you have a track monster capable of pulling sub 11 second passes. For a street car 250-300 whp is just fine. And that's easily accomplished if you save your money for FI instead of pissing it away on I/H/E sanocivic 03-30-2005, 04:12 PM every single hp counts when you have a track monster capable of pulling sub 11 second passes. BrodyP 03-30-2005, 05:33 PM GSCIVIC7 knows what he is talking about I/H/E are great for sound and looks but dont expect to outrun your moms Accord. SiRacer 03-30-2005, 06:19 PM i think tadder salid was just asking what are some good exhausts go maybe he could turbo? dont just go and do anything to your car, do it right. GScivic7 03-30-2005, 06:31 PM dont just go and do anything to your car, do it right. best piece of advice in this thread. SiRacer 03-30-2005, 07:43 PM its probably the bests advice in any car forum anywhere. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
