There is a 95 Trooper Limited for sale aksing $6500

W/ 72,000 V6, heated leather, moonrook, CD, etc.

What would be a reasonable price for this year of vehicle and what are some common problems with the 95. I'm planning on having a mechanic check it out this week.

Please let me know what you Trooper owners think about this purchase.

You can't beat a clean 1995. It's pre OBDII (OBD1 = more simple electronics), reliable 3.2L engine, any major defect would have probably broke already :icon16: !! $6500 is a bit high. I'd shoot for $5000 max.

It sounds nice and good idea about getting it checked out. Offer 5k and try to get it for around 5500. It will all depend on how many other people are looking at it. If it is real nice and doesn't need any work 6500 is not bad if you really want it.

I found another one with 110,000 the other 95' had 72,000 but this one is about $1,500. Guy wants to get rid of it b/c he just bought a brand new truck and built a brand new house.

I think it needs a new clutch though 5-speed because it doesn't want to speed up.

I'm taking it to a mechanic in about 2 hours to find out for sure.

A mechanic checked it out said needs whole new clutch, etc. and a timing belt and everything that goes with it. Parts going to be about $1000 - $1400 (yikes!) he also said that the Trooper can be a killer on time because they take longer to work on.

Is $1000 or more normal to replace the clutch?

This is actually a 93 Trooper V6 3.8l (I think) 5-speed 4WD
