HELP!!! I think I blew up my grocery cart!4GZChatch 03-30-2002, 04:21 PM OK, here's what's up. I'm cruising along up this hill to go snowboarding this morning, and I am going about 30 in 1st, passing an annoying beetle, when I lose power and my ZC sputters. So I coast off the road and open the hood, and I can't see anything wrong. I try to restart it, and it will run for just a second and then stop. Then, I pull out the #1 spark plug and there is OIL all over it. What could this mean? I took off the valve cover, and there is no problem there. Before I start tearing things apart, does anyone have any avice? :flipa: to my ZC! Moppie 03-30-2002, 07:52 PM Oil on the top of the plug? or on the electrode? If its on the top of the plug then its the oil seal in the rockercover. You just need to replace the gasket and seals in the cover, and give the plugs and holes a really good clean to get all the oil out. If its on the elcetrode, then yes you have a big problem. Most likely blown piston ring, or even a cracked (highly unlikely) piston. You need to do a compresion test to make sure though. 4GZChatch 04-01-2002, 11:13 AM So if I was to change my valve cover gasket, do I use an Integra from 88-89? Or do I need a prelude set?
