Whistling sound at idle.

My 98 Acura is making a whistling noise when it idles. I think it may be the timing belt since it has never been replaced. Figured I would turn here and see what someone else thinks.

damn need alittle more info. so it only whistles at idle? where does it sound like its coming from? could be many things. just give little more insight. top or bottom of engine? driver or passenger side?

how many miles do you have on your car. Timing belts dotn really need to be changed until around 90k. If your not near that point then maybe the problem lies somewhere else. Give more info please.

It sounds like it is coming from the front of the car, drivers side. Oh and yeah its way past 90k. Its at 101k currently. Unfortunately financial problems have detered me from getting the work done on schedule. But I would feel better doing it myself anyway. Thanks for the help by the way.
