They do have currosion in a few areas and some scratch marks where it looks like someone tried to scrape currosion off. I am looking for some low work polish that will remove the currosion and leave a chrome like mirror shine and won't attract everything I ride past to it (like an oily film will). Any such product out there? Anybody ever try this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7964152554&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT or this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7964217360&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT I would use acids to remove the corrosion and a paste metal polish by hand after. Seafarer works well so do mequires and mothers metal polishes. LeBuick 03-29-2005, 09:16 PM I would use acids to remove the corrosion and a paste metal polish by hand after. Is metal polish a lot of work? I'm about 300 lbs and don't want to die of a heart attach shining my wheels then have the next guy driving my car around town showing them off... If I'm giving him my nice car, the least he can do is shine the wheels... Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
