Intake tubeSpoolingMr2 03-25-2005, 06:44 PM Is there anyway to take that god awful air flow reader of the intake pipe connected to the turbo and run it like that with out any problems ? or do u need a computer upgrade etc? please let me know is if there is anything ican do to get rid of it!!!!!!! MR2turbo93 03-26-2005, 12:59 AM You mean the mass air flow meter? If so you can switch to speed density. But its not needed with only a few modifications. It is a high tech system. JekylandHyde 03-26-2005, 06:14 AM What are your goals? The AFM will not hold you back to making 300 RWHP. As MR2turbo93 pointed out, you can switch to a speed density set up. The easiest way to do that is the HKS VPC (not available new any more). They sell used for $500-$700. The VPC is a fine option except that a lot of people expereince sporadic idling isses. I used the VPC for a good 2 years. The best option would be to go to a full EMS (Engine management system). That is what I did this winter. JDMR2 03-27-2005, 04:28 PM What are your goals? JDMR2 JekylandHyde 03-27-2005, 10:18 PM I went with the Hydra Nemesis from mrcontrols: www.mrcontrols.com Talk to RickyB and tell him I sent you ;) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
