Ok, first all thank God I bought an extended warranty. I have had both rear window regulators replaced. A starter (battery leaked acid down the cable on it) and so far, knock on wood nothing else. However GUNN Chevrolet loves to be one of those dealerships that say "Unable to duplicate problem" then charge you a fee. However this last time I took my Mali in cause the other rear window was acting up. The scratched the tint on the window and it is peeling off the middle of the window. Their reply "it was like that." Well 10 minutes and several foul words later they agree to re-tint the window. Only after I caused a scene, threw my car keys down, and shouted, did they let in. Well 3 days later and no word on fixing my window. They can't get a hold of the guy who does the tint. I had them put it in writing that they would fix it. I am getting tired of waiting. The buying experience is great at GUNN but that it where it ends. They are your best friend when you are in the sales lot. Soon as you need service they figure you can go to hell. I don't understand why they are such a pain in the ass. They charged my warranty ( not a GM warranty) $700.00 to replace a starter and window regulator. Think they would welcome you and treat you right.

Sounds like most dealerships I've dealt with, they love to talk about their wonderful service department. Then you have a problem and that all goes away, I lost a friend after buying a car from him and then had to argue to get parts replaced that I could prove were bad after the dealer and my then friend said were ok. If I have a warranty problem now I insist that I go for a test drive with the service writer or even better a mechanic to show them the problem. My good fortune has found a local neighbor who is a profesional GM technician and I now have him do all my work. Dealerships will never change.

I purchased my Mali from Harold chev in Bloomington, MN. The only time they have ever pissed me off was when I had my engine replaced (covered under extended warranty) and tey were gonna have my car for about a week. I stopped back a day after I dropped the car off for the work so I could get the cd books I left in the trunk. When I opened the trunk, I saw all of the parts they have already ripped of my engine laying against my subs, the amps, and the the walls of my trunk. They did however put 2 pieces of plastic sheeting under the engine parts. I had grease and oil on just about every spot of my trunk. I was extremely livid and the manager that was on duty at the time, which was actually the head of sales and service, received the brunt of my anger.
The manager did what he could do to calm me down and then offered me a full detailing, inside and out, along with the engine, and completely replaced the fabric in the trunk free of charge. As far as the amps and subs are concerned, they were very lucky that none of my stereo equipment was permanently damaged.

One thing I don't understand is that they only drive my car from the service area to the garage and back. Lesss than one mile. But, they will adjust the seat tilt, recliniig and all (it is power), adjust all the mirrors. That pisses me off. I understand that some of the short greasy people need to move it up to reach the pedals, but they dont need to adjust 8 positions and 3 mirrors to drive it 50 feet. But, they never touch the stereo. Hmmmmm.
