I have seen these web sites also just rember if that was true every one would be buying a car from these people, if you want to buy a car at a good dicount check with your local police departments, tow companys and impound yards for auction dates and also find out how you can particapte in the auctions.

Usually fake. They usually have one car in Idaho that is a repossesed Volvo that has been unclaimed since 1981 and they're willing to unload it for $100 which is 90% off its market value. Otherwise, expect some great deals if you are careful. Most of those cars are bank and lender repo's and they have two luxuries; money and time. At any given time they have thousands of vehicles on lein so they have plenty of income. That gives them the luxury of time. If they put one of their repos in that listing, they can list it at its market value and wait for some sucker to pay that much. Meanwhile, they list one or two of their cars at "way below market value" and generate interest.

Its important to realize that they are not the "disposable" cars the ads make you think they are. They are a profit opportunity that banks, lenders, and the IRS have designed to regain their losses AND make some profit at the same time. They have enough money to pay for national TV commercials, so they're not hurting :)
