i'm getting ready to replace splarkplugs, the originals are the non platinum plugs from the dealer which they say need to be changed every 30,000,i'm wanting to install the pre gapped bosch platinum+2,so hopefully they won't need changed as often, anyone know of any problems this might cause, also how do the coil packs(i'm assuming thats whats they are)that are on top of the plugs on the pass. side come off?any tricks to this, i would hate to screw one up, as i'm sure they are not cheap to replace. any help would be appreciated, thanks

From My understanding from the dealership where I bought my truck the plugs are good for 100k

Not unless you have an 05 4cyl. 30K is the max on the plugs.

I'd stay away from the Bosch's. Toyota offers an optional platinum plug for the 3.4 that lasts 60k.

Replacement interval is suppose to be 30,000 miles according to the owners manual. Some people change them at the prescribed interval, some people don't change them until there is a noticable problem. As for me.....I change mine when the owners manual says to change them. They are about $1.75 a piece, and take about an hour to change. I would recommend you go with the Toyota plug!
