driftingTalon05 03-22-2005, 01:26 PM Hey does anyone else on this forum drift with their AWD car. SabreKhan 03-22-2005, 01:43 PM Drifting as in competitive drifting? No. AWD is not a good competitive drift setup. Powersliding through a corner on a track/rallycross course, yes. FormulaD style drifts, no. freakray 03-22-2005, 02:28 PM Good luck. Unless you really know what you're doing, it's difficult to get the Impreza to break completely loose for a drift-style slide. KiTsuNe 03-22-2005, 05:29 PM drifting... you really only see the style of drifting you're talking about in cars with rwd keita 03-22-2005, 09:18 PM Drifting in WRX...LOL You mean like Peter Solberg in the Rally of Sweden...in snow?? LOL It won't be good for us amateurs to try to emulate stuff like that. Big hurt and big $$, if you're lucky enough to be alive. naruto 03-23-2005, 07:31 PM dont u just need one of those dccd (driver control centre differential) or something like that but it costs like $2000-$4000 who has that kind of money :( kfoote 03-24-2005, 10:51 AM Try removing the front halfshafts. That should help your drift setup. The DCCD doesn't really help enough for drifting unless you're already on a low grip surface. beatdown944 04-02-2005, 01:20 AM on gravel or a very slick surface perhaps. unless you have a insane amount of power on tap and can spin all four wheels. I have seen hot rod millen do it in his evo. THIS TAKES SKILLS, proceed at your own risk. I see somebody else here is into 944's. Now that would make a good drift car.
